Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority suspend C of A’s on Russian operated Aircraft

A new feature of Airbourne FTM is the HR/Licence tracking system available to Operator’s and CAMO’s within the FTM.

A new process developed by the Bourne Systems operations team has reduced the aircraft enrolment onto the FTM significantly.

Maintenance Records are the foundation of the Continuing Airworthiness of an aircraft and provide the operators, the aircraft owners and the National Aviation Authorities (NAA’s) with the evidence that an aircraft complies with the international and national requirements for airworthiness and safety. Without proper and complete maintenance records an aircraft is deemed as unairworthy and therefore its C of A is invalid and the aircraft unsafe and illegal to fly!

The International Air Transport Association, IATA, on Tuesday, urged African governments to make operational safety audit also known as IOSA mandatory for all airlines to improve the continent’s appalling safety record.

The U.S. Transportation Department fined United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) $4 million for allegedly maintaining four cargo planes improperly and then flying them, the agency said in a statement.
